If you can believe it, there was a time when the police could be counted on when you called 911. Since SPD’s morale problem is deep, stemming from the CHAZ/CHOP ordeal and on to defunding by members of the Seattle City Council who live in $3 million dollar homes on Lake Washington…far removed from having to experience their short cited agenda. This city use to be safe, clean, and bustling with tourists; Since COVID, the downward spiral accelerated and fentanyl problem.
Just walking my dogs at the Georgetown Playfield, there are creeps hovering around the bathroom, on guard, scheming, zero eye contact, and general up to no good. Seattle has adopted its new norm and I think it makes this city suck. The graffiti everywhere with nonsensical gang tagging all around. The most Tammy Morales did was make sure that there is a SHARP needle deposit next to the bathroom. Lets not kid ourselves…..it isn’t there for the kids playing sports…..its for the junkies who don’t even bother to throw their used needles away anyway. Thanks Tammy. You suck.
While walking out of the gas station down the street the other evening, a pit bull not on a leash starts barking and running toward me…I told the owner that if that dog attempted to bite me I would kick its face in with my foot….she immediately started screaming at me….some entitled fucking fentanyl junkie…fuck those assholes. A bunch of punks who have outstayed their welcome in this town.
Good article. About time something is done about the mentality around here, not just the crazies. Why can’t people see that it’s a drug issue?
If you’re interested this book is a good one. Story is that a family loses a 10yr old daughter to drug addicts. Pretty soon, a bunch of citizens act out and say “No MORE!”. You can see the corruptions, the government ignorance, and some people trying to change it. But the ‘boots on the ground’ are kicking ass and driving out the homeless. Good read.
